About the Role:

Ledgent is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic team in Natomas. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with payroll experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state payroll for employees accurately and on time
• Review and validate timecards, deductions, and adjustments
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
• Assist with audits and reporting as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of payroll experience (multi-state preferred)
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Excel
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws and compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
